What is CCL (Authorisation for centralised clearance)?

CCL stands for "Authorisation for Centralised Clearance" which is a procedure within the European Union's customs framework that allows businesses to manage their customs duties centrally in one EU member state, rather than having to do so separately in each member state where they have transactions.

The CCL authorisation enables businesses to simplify and streamline their customs clearance procedures and to make customs compliance more efficient and cost-effective. With CCL authorization, businesses can submit a single customs declaration for multiple transactions across different EU member states, and pay the corresponding customs duties to the supervising member state where the authorization is granted.

This system is designed to reduce administrative burdens for businesses and customs authorities and to facilitate cross-border trade within the EU.
