What is EIDR (Entry in declarant records) and when is it needed?

EIDR, or Entry in Declarant's Records, is a customs procedure that allows for the electronic storage of customs declaration information in the records of the declarant, instead of submitting a declaration to the customs authorities for each individual shipment. EIDR is available in some countries as an option for eligible importers and exporters.

However, EIDR is not available for all types of goods or for all types of customs procedures. Its availability and eligibility criteria vary from country to country, and it may be subject to specific conditions or requirements. Importers and exporters should check with their customs authority to determine whether EIDR is available and applicable to their specific situation.
