How to Authenticate Yourself with HMRC

Created by Omar Allybokus, Modified on Mon, 27 Apr at 9:24 AM by Miraj Khalid

The “Authorize Yourself before Submitting Declaration” message appears when your HMRC authorisation with iCustoms has expired. This is required periodically as per HMRC policy.

To continue submitting declarations, you must re-authorise your HMRC credentials.

Steps to Re-authorise HMRC

  1. Go to Settings in iCustoms.

  2. Select HMRC Authorisation.

  3. Sign in using your Government Gateway credentials.

  4. Complete the re-authorisation process.

  5. For Safety & Security GB declarations, ensure you use your organisation’s EORI linked to the HMRC Government Gateway account.

Once completed, you can resume submitting declarations.
