Specific Circumstance Indicator

The Specific Circumstance Indicator field has the following rules:

  • value ‘E’ (AEO) can be used only if the Person Lodging the ENS and all Consignees declared in the ENS have a valid AEO certificate of type ‘AEOF’ or ‘AEOS’
  • if the submission is an amendment submitted by a Representative, then the Representative is also required to have a valid AEO certificate of type ‘AEOF’ or ‘AEOS’
  • declarant EORI must be GB and will always be provided. Consignee EORI will only be validated if GB

The Specific Circumstance Indicator can only take the following codes:

  • C - Road mode of transport
  • D - Rail mode of transport
  • E - Authorised Economic Operator
