Release Notes - Direct HMRC Uploads, Smart UI Automations, and Enhanced Controls

We are thrilled to roll out our latest feature release! This update is packed with deep compliance integrations, time-saving data entries, and layout upgrades across all product modules to make your daily clearance work flows smoother.

1. Direct Document Uploads via HMRC API

No more logging out of iCustoms to complete paperwork. When HMRC requests supporting documentation for a declaration, you can now upload files directly within our portal (select Document Upload from 3 dots). Our new backend API integration securely pushes your documents straight to HMRC’s system, keeping your entire audit trail inside a single ecosystem.

2. Manage User Permissions for ROS

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) has officially arrived for the ROS (Revenue Online Service) module. Organization admins can now manage, restrict, or grant user access specifically for ROS functionalities, ensuring secure workspace delegation.

3. CDS Single-Item "Mirror to Item" Automation

Filing single-item declarations just got a whole lot faster. We have eliminated the need to duplicate your totals at both the header and item levels. Now, when working on a declaration that contains only one item, filling in your header details will dynamically reveal a "Mirror to Item" button at the General level.

Clicking this button instantly duplicates the following values straight into their respective fields on the item form:

1. Total Amount & Currency
2. Total Packages
3. Total Gross Mass
4. Total Net Mass

4. ROS Statistical Value Auto-Calculation

Say goodbye to manual math. At the item level in ROS, the system will now automatically calculate the Statistical Value in real-time based on the Addition and Deduction values you input.

5. CDS Export: Mandatory Representative & Direct Auto-Fill

To maintain strict compliance and reduce form rejections:

1. The Representative contact field is now strictly mandatory for all CDS Export declarations.
2. Smart Shortcuts: If you select Direct Representation as your representation type, the system will automatically mirror your Declarant contact information directly into the Representative fields.

6. CDS Import to S&S GB Declarant Mirroring

When using our mirroring to clone a CDS Import declaration over to Safety & Security (S&S GB), the Declarant details will now transfer over automatically.

7. Search Dashboard Listings by DUCR

Building on our recent dashboard updates, you can now actively search by DUCR value directly from the main CDS Dashboard search bar. Locate specific entries instantly without skimming long lists.

8. Search Filters by Contact Code

When searching through contacts inside dashboard filter fields (such as Importer/Exporter selectors), you can now input and filter by unique Contact Codes to instantly isolate individual accounts.

9. Fast Keyboard Navigation for Country Dropdowns

We have optimized the search and selection logic for all country dropdowns across CDS, ICS2, NCTS, S&S GB, and ROS:

1. 2 Characters: Searches strictly by Alpha-2 ISO codes (e.g., typing BE brings up Belgium).
2. 3rd Character+: Expands to search by the full Country Name.
3. Fix: The top matched result is now highlighted automatically, meaning pressing the Enter key selects your actual match immediately without skipping rows.

⚠️ Action Required: NCTS Bulk Upload Template Change

10. Critical Update to NCTS Bulk Item Upload Template

We have updated the structural layout of the NCTS Bulk Item Upload Template to enhance data entry.

Important Action Required: Please go to the NCTS module and download the latest Bulk Item template. Do not reuse old sheets.

What changed? We have decoupled data inputs that were previously joined together:

1. Item Price and Currency are now separated into distinct individual columns.
2. Package Details have been split out into their own individual columns.
