The New Computerised Transit System (NCTS) is a system used by the European Union (EU) for managing and monitoring transit operations of goods between different countries. It was introduced to replace the previous paper-based transit system with an electronic system, making the process more efficient and secure.

NCTS allows traders to complete transit procedures electronically, including the submission of transit declarations, the provision of guarantees and the tracking of goods in transit. The system also allows customs authorities to monitor the movement of goods more effectively, enabling them to detect any discrepancies or irregularities that may occur during transit.
