NCTS Phase 6 for the UK is officially live in our Production environment today! You can now resume submitting your transit declarations.
As we roll into the new system, we want to share a quick workaround to save you time and prevent unnecessary headaches due to a known issue on HMRC's side.
Important: How to Handle Rejected Departures
If your NCTS 6 Departure entry gets rejected for any reason, you must change the LRN (Local Reference Number) before resubmitting the entry.
Currently, if you try to resubmit a corrected entry using the original LRN, HMRC’s system will automatically bounce it back with an "LRN Duplication" error.
HMRC is aware of this bug and is working on a permanent fix. Until they resolve it, simply changing the LRN will ensure your entries go through smoothly without getting stuck in a rejection loop.
