Identify the DE containing the unrecognised EORI/VAT number.

1. Identify the DE containing the unrecognised EORI/VAT number.

2. Verify the number with the issuing authority or CDS reference.

3. Correct the number if invalid or use a valid permitted number.

4. Validate the declaration for compliance.

5. Resubmit the declaration.
