Release Notes - NCTS UK → ICS2 F50 Mirroring, UKIMS Authorisation Automation for GB → NI, and ROS Bulk Template Merge
- Product Modules: NCTS UK, ICS2, CDS Import, Contacts, ROS
- Release Status: Live / Production
- Impact Scope: Listing Views, Bulk Actions, Contact Management, Cross-Module Mirroring, Auto-Population Rules
1. Release Summary
This release focuses on removing repetitive manual work across parallel filings. Users handling the same movement across NCTS UK and ICS2 no longer need to re-key overlapping data — one click on the NCTS Departure listing produces an ICS2 F50 draft. GB → NI CDS Import filers get UKIMS-related fields populated automatically from the importer contact. And ROS users can now apply templates in bulk, matching the pattern already available for CDS.
2. Key Enhancements & New Features
NCTS UK → ICS2 F50 Mirroring
- Overview / What's New: You can now mirror one or multiple Accepted NCTS UK Departures directly into a new ICS2 F50 draft, with common fields auto-populated from the source declarations. No more manually creating an ICS2 F50 for a movement you've already filed on NCTS UK.
- How it Works / How to Use:Navigate to the NCTS Departure listing.
- Select one or more Accepted UK NCTS Departures via the row checkboxes.
- Click the Create ICS2 button in the toolbar.
- A new ICS2 F50 draft is created with the common information mirrored across General, House level & Item level:
- Single NCTS UK → ICS2 F50 — shared fields populate at both General and House level of the ICS2.
- Multiple NCTS UK → ICS2 F50 — each source NCTS UK becomes one House in ICS2 (with its own items and, where the source has multiple houses, each becomes an ICS2 House). Values that are identical across all sources are also promoted to ICS2 General level.
- Key Benefit: Eliminates duplicate data entry across NCTS UK and ICS2 for the same movement, reducing keying errors and cutting the time to produce an ICS2 F50 draft to seconds.
Automated UKIMS Authorisation for CDS Import (GB → NI Movements)
- Overview / What's New: A new Authorisations tab has been added to the Contacts modal, containing a UKIMS Authorisation field. When a contact with a stored UKIMS Authorisation is selected as the Importer on a CDS Import entry, the required authorisation and additional document references are populated automatically — no more manual entry for every declaration.
- How it Works / How to Use:Open a contact in the Contacts module and go to the new Authorisations tab.
- Enter the UKIMS Authorisation value and enable the apply authorisation checkbox.
- When this contact is selected as Importer on a CDS Import entry, the following are populated automatically:
- Declaration header: the UKIM-UK authorisation category is added, with the Authorisation Identifier populated from the Importer's EORI.
- Item level: Additional Information entry with
Code = NIREMand Additional Document entry withCategory Code = UKIM, both carrying the UKIMS Authorisation number. - Changing the Importer to a non-qualifying contact automatically removes the auto-added entries — your manually entered rows are preserved.
- Key Benefit: GB → NI CDS Import filings that previously required repetitive UKIMS field entry across the header and every item now populate correctly with no manual effort — reducing rejections caused by missing NIREM / UKIM references.
Bulk Template Merge for ROS Drafts
- Overview / What's New: You can now merge a template onto multiple ROS drafts in a single action, matching the bulk template merge already available on CDS. No more merging the same template one entry at a time.
- How it Works / How to Use:Open the ROS listing.
- Select one or multiple draft entries via the row checkboxes.
- Click Merge Template from the toolbar.
- The chosen template is applied to every selected ROS draft in one go.
- Key Benefit: Significant time saved for teams processing high volumes of ROS drafts — bulk template application in one click instead of one-by-one repetition.
