What Are the Three Levels of an ICS2 Declaration?

Created by Usman Zaib, Modified on Wed, 23 Sep at 9:44 AM by Usman Zaib

Overview

An ICS2 declaration is structured across three levels: General, House and Item.

Why ?

Each level contains different types of information:

  • General: Declaration-wide information such as LRN, transport mode, declarant and master transport document.
  • House: Information relating to each House Bill, including parties, locations, routing and transport documents.
  • Item: Commodity-level information such as goods description, HS sub-heading, gross mass, packages and dangerous goods.

Items belong to a specific House, while Houses belong to the General declaration.
