Overview
ICS2 (Import Control System 2) is the EU's pre-arrival safety and security system for Entry Summary Declarations (ENS).
Why ?
ICS2 allows safety and security risk screening to take place before goods physically arrive at the border.
ICS2 applies to:
- Air
- Maritime/inland waterways
- Road
- Rail
The ICS2 message format v3 is mandatory across all transport modes.
ICS2 is a safety and security system and is not used for customs clearance, duty or tax calculations.
