How Does Item Consolidation Work

Overview

Item consolidation allows multiple line items to be combined based on specific criteria. This helps simplify declarations by grouping items with matching information.

Items can be consolidated based on one of the following criteria:

• Item Code

• Commodity Code

• Product Description

Within each category, line items are consolidated when the following details are identical:

• Country of Origin

• Package Type

• Preferential Origin

• Preference Code

• Procedure Code

• Additional Procedure Code

Only items that meet the required matching criteria will be consolidated.
